For me the new Prius is a lot better although its not cheap so you might need debt solutions after buying it. Just drives a lot better than the last one, my piano tutorial teacher has one and I tried it out.

These Both cars are good unitedly but as we cant compare Mark 2 amd Honda Accord as same as here i preferred Honda too honda racing engines

I drive the Prius and it really gives me a nice mileage for a hybrid car, but one thing it worries me if the auto parts installed, esp the batteries for it drains really fast... :(

Greenville Honda is the best! This I can tell you for sure. There is no other car that has the same facilities like this one. Not to mention that it's design is totally unique. I had the occasion to make a test drive and I was pretty impressed.

Go with Toyota PRIUS, Honda makes a bad version of the hybrid car. After moving to New Zealand our issue is in finding a trusted car shipping company to have these type of cars delivered in our place.

They make hardly any noise when you turn them on (actually you can't really tell from the outside whether it's on or not!) and they feel like you're gliding on air when you drive it or ride in it.

I own an 07 Honda Civic hybrid and love it, it also does extremely well with its fuel mileage. The key difference that I hear is that the Civic does better at freeway speeds. Thanks.

I think you're pretty safe either way both Honda and Toyota make great cars. I've heard that the prius is a bit smoother in the transition from electric to the combination of gas and electric. Thanks.

I am curious about the style or model of the car, especially the Honda civic hybrid. However, I am more interested to Toyota Prius. I want both of them. As far as hybrid cars go, I wouldn't mind test driving the Porsche 918 Spyder, though it probably won't be a production model for at minimum a year or two, and will definitely cost a LOT. A hybrid car that hits 60 in under 4 seconds and gets 78 mpg – oh yeah, that's going to price a pretty penny. I don't want to think about what the payments on those auto loans are likely to be like, or the insurance, for that matter. The 918 is thus far a concept model only, but it will be a plug in hybrid.

it's interesting to compare both cars, while they have the same auto parts and
performance as a hybrid vehicle. but the prius is still the best between the two because of its mileage and its comfort it provides while on the road.

Charlie, The big question about your new lexus hybrid is what mpg do you get ? Will you make it into a plugin hybrid ?

My prius plugin goes without any gas for 30-40 miles each day. My wife drives to and from work about 24 miles round trip all on electric, at speeds up to 55 mph.

Can't save i've tried a honda or a toyota but my lexus hybrid car hasn't had any problems at all.

Prius is testing a plug-in option, Honda plays with fuel cells for 1 millioin and only leases they to a few for $600 a month.

Honda makes a dirty version and clean version hybrid, they only sell the clean version where they have to, the clean car policy states.

Honda stopped making the Insight (less than 500 a year sold) as well as the accord hybird.

I always get way more than the EPA estimated mpg. If you drive like you care you can get great mpg. A few hypermilers push the limits and add 50 lbs of air to the tires as well as drive very fast then let the car coast and slow down. That doesn't seem safe and smart.
I drive at the speed limit of below by just a few mpg.
I keep the air in the tires at spec.
Most important I let up just a tiny bit after I reach speed and the mpg jumps to double or more. It's called being aware of the vehicle and CVT transmission. You no longer drive like you have an egg under your foot but drive smarter.
Also keep air conditioning on low fan speed and temps of higher yet comfortable. Not like some who alwys have it full blast and on 50 degrees.
Also no fancy big rims and wide tires, they are losers.

I used to own a mild hybrid Honda civic. It's ok but not half the car the Prius us. Here are a few reason why.
-The honda can't run on electric alone, the prius can.
-The prius ICE gas engine runs in the otto cycle making less pollution.
-The Prius back seats fold down for big space to carry items.
-The Prius can be come a plug-in hybrid. PHEV
-The prius has a lower C/D Coefficient of Drag .26 vs .32 which adds up to better mpg at higher speed or wind.
-The Prius out sells honda 3 to 1, so resale is higher.
-The 03-05 honda air cond condenser shut off when in idle stop. The Prius never does.
-The Prius will have lithium batteries in 08 and get about 90 mpg.
I love my Prius :) and have had 80 mpg on a round trip to work and back of about 40 miles. The best Honda mpg I got was 74.
