Fuel Cell & Concept Vehicles
Boston Oil Party, Anyone?
Submitted by duomento on Mon, 07/07/2008 - 19:19.The BMW Hydrogen 7 is the world's first production-ready hydrogen vehicle. Will it go the way of the electric car that was killed by Detroit on the 70's? The answer lies with politicians, oil companies and other world leaders. At the Boston Tea Party the political answer was in the hands of the people throwing barrels of tea overboard (would now that they be barrels of oil).

DREAM CARS Concept Cars , real and not so real
Submitted by jstack6 on Sat, 08/04/2007 - 10:10.I just got a book from Barnes and Noble , bargain clearence of course ,that is called Dream Cars. It lists the many concept cars over the years from major automakers all over the world. It gives a few details on over 150 vehicles.
It is very interesting to see how a few companies think big fast powerful cars are the future concept and others have small efficient vehicles.

Fool cells
Submitted by jstack6 on Fri, 05/25/2007 - 20:19.A hydrogen fuel cell is really a very expensive way to make an electric vehicle. The PEM Proton Exchange Membrain fuel cell cost about 1 million dollars. It only can use very pure hydrogen or it will fail.
You have to make hydrogen or split water to relase H2 and it takes 4 times as much energy as making electricity directly. You also have to sore it and compress it.
