Electric Vehicles all over the WORLD
Submitted by jstack6 on Tue, 04/01/2008 - 13:01.There seems to be a post with a sequal software error.
The big point is the Electric Vehicles are not an error. They are everything and more than have been promised in the past. The key is very good , long lasting batteries. They are light weight and non toxic. Lithium battereis are set to make the world change.
check the www.eaaev.org for the group that has been driving the vehicles and ideas for the past 25 years.

electric cars
Submitted by scout on Sun, 03/30/2008 - 23:27.Hi all,
My name is Drew and I live in beautiful Vancouver, BC. Help me! I've been trying to find an electric car that has been approved for use in Canada and I'm coming up empty! From what I thought was a progressive country (and it is, just lacking in this area), I can't find anything that is available outside of the US. Has anyone else has more luck? I like the Phoenix cars (http://www.phoenixmotorcars.com) as they can do highway speeds, charge quickly, etc.
I hope someone can give me some direction!

Are EVs really better in the long run than regular gas powered Vehicles?
Submitted by julsruls74 on Wed, 03/05/2008 - 18:58.
I was told that the battery in EVs aren't re-usable or recyclable. That while you use an EV it is better than regular cars but that once you can't use it anymore the disposal of it's battery is actually just as bad for the environment as it would of been if you drove a regular car. What's more is if the use of EVs go up what is that going to do to the cost and production of electricity?

V2G Technology
Submitted by Jeff Schultz on Sat, 01/19/2008 - 16:58.This is the kind of technology and foreward thinking I like to see.
Pacific Gas and Electric is exploring ways to harness wind power and utilize energy containment systems found in Joe Citizens vehicle.
This model will make in my opinion head long gains in galvanizing citizens towards sustainable energy alternatives, by empowering the user, if planned properly and not exploited.

Worlds fastest EV gets faster
Submitted by jstack6 on Tue, 01/01/2008 - 10:14.You may not know but Electric Vehicles are very fast. No not your efficient little gold carts. These are full sized vehicles that compete with full size regular vehicles. Check out NEDRA, The secret is mostly in the batteries. It also doesn't hurt that electric motors are very powerful with most the their torque available at 0 rpm. Electric drive systems are about 90% efficient while Internal Combustion Engines are 80% inefficient !
