Re: Disposable Menstrual Underwear
bernisava,
I know this is your product, so I really feel bad that I don't have very positve comments about it.
I am concerned with the "disposable" part. That really isn't "green". It is great that is is made with 100% organic cotton, but you throw it away -- it will create tons of unnessary trash. and because it is a whole pair of underware, not just a pad or a tampon, that make even more trash.
Also, throwing away natual sea sponge is never good idea -- reusing is so much better. I am not even certain taking natural sea sponge out of "nature" is a good idea. (I know many people do market this as a good thing for the environment) Does anyone know anything more about this?
I appreciate the concept, but I personally don't feel it is environmentally sound.
There are great re-usable products currently on the market, such as the Diva Cup (www.divacup.com), GladRags (www.gladrags.com) and Luna Pads (www.lunapads.com) . If you feel the need to throw away your products, there is also pads & tampons by Seventh Generation (www.seventhgeneration.com), NatraCare (www.natracare.com/products/feminine_products.htm) and Organic Essentials.
Thanks,
RVM
