That's sage advice -- "Know your market" Without that' you're lost. But it does go both ways. The market know's what's hot & what's not. Or more importantly, what's decent and what's trash.
While Walmart gets rich selling lots for a little, I'd respectfully disagree.
You stand a better chance of success be selling the best for the most you can get. Chrystler went bust(but got bailed), so did Yugo(except for the bail), and GM is on the rocks... Mercedes-Benz is still going fine.
Can you be a "Mercedes" dealer? Perhaps, but don't expect them to supply you with inventory.
