Edison Cells... (yes the Thomas Edison) I didn't know anyone was still making them??? I tried to get some back in the early 80's for a transmitter site backup power supply.
The railroads were the last users of Ni-Fe at that time. They were good, but expensive. Very low maintenance. They supposedly lasted "forever" even back then.
