Re: Nmg myer motors electric vehicile
For about the same price your could get the new Aptera
No, no you can't. Not today anyway, and not if you live outside of Southern California. If you read the website indepth you'll find this out.
The major problem with most EV manufacturers are that you can't get them *today*. You *might* get them tomorrow.
I'd say if you have an oportunity to buy an EV in person (test drive it extensively), and you know the history of the vehicle, and if fits your needs, buy it. Three years later I'm still on the waiting list for a new Twike (www.twike.us) and am not regretting purchasing a 10-year old one when I had the chance.
I've commuted in it all winter, dropping the 6-year old off at school and the 1.5 year old off at daycare, and get to park in motorcycle parking ($34 a year versus $400).
The Corbin Sparrow was one of the first production EV's I researched (Myers Motors' predecesor). Corbin motors had legal as well as quality control issues, not to mention that a single-seater (no matter how fast) didn't work for me. The Twike as a two-seater is a stretch, but do-able with some redesign of the interior seating.
The previous owner of Twike 433 was doing a 50 mile round trip commute in Chicago.
