bicycles non electric

these new airless tires are made to fit like gloves on the rim and replace the tire and tube. A perfect fit. With todays material they also custom make the pressure likeness you order, I got 110 psi tires and realy can fly on them.
Others like Michlien have talked about the tweel air free tires but say they won't be out for 5 to 10 years. These airfree tires are real and I use them everyday.

Airless bicycle tires? I hope they're better than the things I remember as a kid...
I remember these hard yellow & orange 'rubber bands' (as we called 'em) that we used to stretch over the skinniest of rims back when I worked at the bicycle shop.
This dude (with the skinniest legs I had ever seen on a man) would go through a set every few weeks/months. I remember trying to ride that bike one time, and it was the most painful, teeth jarring experience I think I ever had.
The owner explained that the solid front tire was more efficient because it didn't deform and waste energy. ( I was 11-12 yet he explained stuff as though I was an adult... fond memories) (and yes I 'worked' the shop at 11-12, I suppose you'd have to call it apprenticing, but we weren't being explioted, and it was a great experience!)

I still say the best bicycle is the human powered bicycle. They never run low on fuel , well if they do you stop for a smoothie or something to eat. Make it healthy and you get great clean power.
Recently I go some airless tires for my road bicycle. They are amazing and I never have to worry about a flat tire again. I don't need to carry an air pump or spare tubes and tools. What a great simple idea.
For vehicle michilien is working on some airless tires called tweels . Maybe this will be the next step in all transportation.
Bicycles are the most efficient vehicles ever invented.
by the way I use my bicycle for real transportation, not just a joy ride. I commute to and from work about 20 miles each way. We also go to the store and church on our bicycles.
